I Am Still Here…

by Billie on September 7, 2012

Hello my long, lost but faithful friends.

I am still here.

Busier than ever- but here.

Life has taken quite the different course for me and my family over the past few months and I decided that I needed to take a step back from my blog for a while and focus on my family and myself.

While I don’t forsee myself coming back full force to my blog any time soon, I am going to begin attempting (emphasis on attempt) to post at least once a week.

I miss you all.

I miss getting things off of my chest here.

I miss being able to have poorly written sentences and ending said sentences with several periods….

For no reason than just because I want to.

There are very few times that I am able to do something just for myself and adding random periods to the ends of sentences is one of those times.

Reeling it back in now, I promise.

Hi!!!

There they are.

My wildly adorable, 100% boy, little stinkers.

This was me and my boys two weekends ago after trecking through Mammoth Cave National Park with my father for the day.

It was a fun day.  Cayden was in search of Thomas the Train in the cave.. I’m not sure where he got the idea from but apparently he was under the impression that Thomas was hiding down in the cave.

Whatever.  It worked.. he went in the cave and we had a blast.

My calve muscles, however, did not.

Packing around a 26 pound behemoth is hard on you as it is, packing around said behemoth while trekking through wooded areas and trails is basically calve muscle suicide.

In other news, I finally dived in to my photography career.  It has taken off quite well!  I absolutely love that I was fortunate enough to turn a passionate hobby into a career.  As far as careers go, this is the best thing for me.  I love my job as a photographer.  I love capturing life’s wonderful moments and relive them over and over again by looking at pictures!  My new profession has extreme flexibility as well- so I am still able to stay at home during the day with my boys while photographing mainly on the weekends.

I guess as far as quick updates go, this has become somewhat elongated.

But you know me.. always living on the edge and shaking things up.

For now though, I bid you farewell.

I will be back soon though!

With Lots of Love,

The Unexpected Mother
